Bariatric surgery is definitely a complex process which requires you to arm yourself with patience, a strong support system, and accurate information regarding each and every aspect of this experience. While it may seem that all these factors depend solely on you, the truth is that our bariatric support group meetings may contribute to each of these areas, significantly improving your confidence going into bariatric surgery.
Whether you’re still having second thoughts, you’ve already marked the day in your calendar, or you’re currently recovering - we’re here to answer all your questions. In addition, it can be relieving and exciting to share your experiences, concerns, and plans with people who are going through the very same process.
As always, all potential/recovering patients, as well as their loved ones, are welcome to join us!
FYI: From now on, all bariatric support group meetings will be held at St. Joseph’s hospital, 301 Prospect Avenue, Syracuse, NY; Conference Room 5313 (garage parking validated).

How to Find Us at St. Joseph’s Hospital:
Enter main entrance; check in at main desk in lobby to notify here for group; take main elevators to 5th floor; take a right off of elevators and walk straight; follow signs to room 5313.
