Meet Our Weight Loss Surgeons and Staff
William A. Graber, MD, PC consists of a talented team of caring, talented, and dedicated healthcare professionals based in Syracuse and New Hartford. Our surgeons have completed more than 5,000 weight loss surgeries at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in Utica/New Hartford, NY and St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY.
Throughout your weight loss surgery journey you will work not only with your surgeon but our entire bariatric surgery team. This includes our physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, registered dietitian, administrative staff and insurance specialists.
Dr. Graber holds a bachelor's degree from Haverford College in Pennsylvania and a medical doctorate from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed his residency at Boston University.
Dr. Dalencourt earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, and Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies. He completed an internship and residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, an internship at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining our office, Dr. Dalencourt was a surgeon for the Peconic Bay Medical Center Multi Specialty Organization and Twin Forks Surgical Associates, PC, both in Riverhead, New York. Dr. Dalencourt is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Medical Society of New York and American Medical Association.
Dr. Hill earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana, and her Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. She completed an internship and residency in Surgery at SUNY Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, and a fellowship in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. Dr. Hill is board certified in Surgery and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Obradovic earned his degree in Nursing in Krusevac, Serbia, Yugoslavia. He received his medical degree and postgraduate master’s degree from the University of Belgrade School of Medicine in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia. He completed a fellowship in Digestive System Surgery at the Institute for Digestive Diseases, First Surgical Clinic University, Clinical Center of Serbia, Belgrade in Yugoslavia, where he also became a staff surgeon at the Clinical Department for Hepatobiliopancreatic Surgery. Dr. Obradovic completed a residency and fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.
Physician Assistants and Nurse PractitionersOur dedicated Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are an integral part of our bariatric surgery team. They work hard in the operating room and our offices to help support patients throughout their weight loss surgery journey
Laura is a surgical assistant for Dr. Graber. She assists in the OR, and sees patients post-operatively, during hospital rounds, and for follow-up visits in our office. Laura also helps with patient education prior to and following surgery.
A graduate of Hamilton College and the Physician Assistant Program at LeMoyne College, Laura has worked in the medical field since 1991.
Elaine is a Nurse Practitioner who provides medical follow up care for post operative patients in the office. This involves physical examination, review of laboratory studies, monitoring medications, and evaluating individual health care needs. She is a graduate of SUNY IT, where she received her Masters Degree in Adult Health with a minor in Gerontology. She is licensed by the New State Education Department and Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also an adjunct professor at SUNYIT. Elaine brings over 30 years of health care experience in Community Health, Internal Medicine and Geriatrics to the practice.
Marianne graduated Summa Cum Laude earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from SUNY Fredonia. She obtained her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Le Moyne College. She is licensed as a Physician Assistant by the University of the State of New York Education Department, Office of the Professions and Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Lorraine Rojas is a New York City native who obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Anthropology with a Minor in Chemistry from Hunter College in 2008. She completed her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Le Moyne College in 2013. Lorraine is a board certified Physician Assistant in the State of New York, licensed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Colin is a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He completed his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant he spent several years working for a local ambulance company as a medic. Colin is board certified in the State of New York and licensed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Ursula joined the Dr. Graber group in December 2013. She brings nurse practitioner experience from both primary care and hospital medicine arenas. After earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Connecticut in 1994, she worked as an RN in several states and in a wide variety of practice areas from home care to critical care for 15 years. In 2008 Ursula graduated with her MSN from the Sage Colleges in Troy, NY and completed a post-master’s certificate in Acute Care in 2009. Board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Ursula is also an Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist and has been published in a peer reviewed journal. Dedicated to supporting and optimizing patients’ physical and psychological well-being as they travel along their weight loss journey, Ursula sees patients in the offices for post-operative treatment and monitoring, as well as inpatient care in Utica and Syracuse.
Lisa is the clinical manager responsible for overseeing the nursing staff in the practice. She is an allied health member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons. She received her certification in bariatric nursing in 2008.
Lisa has worked in healthcare since 1992, and has been with Dr. Graber's office since 2004. Lisa earned her RN from MVCC in 1995 and recently completed her BSN degree from Utica College.
Evelyn provides nutrition counseling to our patients undergoing weight-loss surgery. She strives to find creative ways to help each individual adapt to the lifestyle changes needed after their operation. Her professional experience includes weight management, cardiovascular health, renal disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, nutrition in the elderly, eating disorders, and food allergies.
Evelyn holds a master's degree from New York University and a bachelor's from Marymount College of Fordham University. She completed a dietetic internship at the Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and is certified in childhood and adolescent weight management by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Practice and Billing Manager
Terry was educated at Utica School of Commerce. She has many years of professional experience, and has worked for Dr. William A. Graber's office since 1999. Terry oversees all operations in both of our office locations.
Trisha helps patients navigate an important part of the bariatric surgery process: health insurance pre-certification. She has over 20 years experience working in healthcare, focusing on insurance. Trisha joined our office in 2005.
