GeneralDr. Graber and the Office Team Raising Money for the Local Shriners!
At Dr. Graber’s weight loss surgery offices in both Utica and Syracuse, we’re a pretty enthusiastic bunch. When an opportunity to do good for the community presents itself, you can bet we get behind the cause–and have some fun doing it! We recently discovered the need for additional funds for the Ziyara Shriners Transportation Fund in Utica and wanted to join the cause. We came up with a variety of ways to do so and ended up raising a total of $635 to contribute to the fund!
Our weight loss surgery patients who visited us on Fridays during the collection period might have noticed our look was a little more casual than usual. That’s because we implemented a dress-down Friday policy that encouraged team members to make a small donation in exchange for wearing more comfy clothing to work! Needless to say, this option was a hit for team members in both the bariatric surgery offices in Utica and Syracuse.
We brainstormed another way to raise funds and decided to do so at our annual company picnic. There, we had raffle baskets and 50/50 raffle ticket sales, with proceeds being contributed to our growing Shriners donation.
We’re excited to support the work done by the Shriners, who are known internationally for the valuable work they do in providing quality medical care to children. The Shriners Hospitals for Children includes an impressive 22 facilities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
